FESTIVITIES
San Blas: On January 28rd, in Llodio there is celebrated an agricultural and handcrafted product fair, which follow a series of rites and ancient beliefs.
Week of the 'Cazuelita': gastronomic festival in Llodio, in which all the bars and restaurants prepare their portions or cazuelitas and a contest takes place, with the consequent tasting of all of them.
Day of the Blusa: On July 25th, day of Santiago Apostle. In Vitoria. It is necessary to dress with the typical Basque suit. They all dress their white shirt and several acts take place as the donkey’s race in the White Virgin square.
The White Virgin festival: it is celebrated in Vitoria the day of its Holy Patron Saint, from August the 4th to the 9th. It takes place the descent of the Celedón up to the Tower of San Miguel. They are days of sports, concerts, music, parties, fireworks...
The Asuncion and San Roque: These festivities are celebrated in Amurrio, On August the 15th and the 16th.
San Roque: On August the 16th up to the 31st, San Roque is celebrated in Llodio.

San Antón fair: January in Amurrio, it is the animals’ day, in which San Antón blesses them.
Carnival: ends of February or March. It is celebrated in almost all the localities. Parades of floats, disguises, dances and parties, finishing with the Sardine burning. Those of Zalduondo and Vitoria are relevant.
Week of the Alava’s typical snack: gastronomic celebration celebrated in Vitoria in March. A snack competition is organized where competitors cook sophisticated and delicious snacks and everybody can eat them.
The Dolores Friday fair: in LLodio it is celebrated on the Friday previous to the Holy Week.15/04/2011
Holy week: in March or April. Emphasizing the processions of: Vitoria, Laguardia, Añana, Baths of Ebro, Lagrán, Llodio and Moreda of Alava.
San Prudencio: On April 28th. He is the patron saint of Alava. The festivity begins with the Retreta and drumbeats, pilgrimage and dances. The Gastronomic Societies start the celecbration. It is celebrated especially in Vitoria - Vitoria, Amurrio and in Armentia. It is typical to eat snails and the perretxikos (typical mushroom of the region).
Txakoli\'s fair: the \"Txakoli Eguna\" or the Day of the Txakoli is celebrated, which is a Basque Country typical white wine. The last crop of Txakoli is celebrated in Amurrio, in May. Tasting and sampling of the above mentioned wine and other culinary products of the region.2010/05/11
Fair of the Perretxiko: it is celebrated in May, in Kuartango locality, principal producer of this typical mushroom of Alava. There is tasting of perretxikos and exhibition of farm animals.
Pentecost festival: a pilgrimage is celebrated in Llodio the second day of Easter to the Saint Lucia Hermitage
